How to make DIY zero waste Toilet Bombs

Easy to make

Today’s post on Instagram was all about toilet bombs! This was a really fun and easy DIY. I typically use Seventh Generation toilet bowl cleaner but was looking for a more zero waste option. It is also a fraction of the cost so that’s a total win! Everything you need is listed below and I included links to Amazon ( these are affiliate links and help support what I’m doing here in a small way!)

Ingredients :

  1. Mix dry ingredients together in a metal or glass bowl.

2. Add the Castille soap and slowly mix together. It will fizz a little bit that is normal. It will be a paste like consistency and lumpy.

3.) pack into an ice cube tray or silicone mold. I used a silicone mold I had for making large whiskey ice cubes. Whatever works! Make sure to only fill 1/2 or 3/4 of the way as it will expand a  little.

4.) leave to harden for 6 hours. Pop them into a glass jar and enjoy! To use them just place them in the toilet and wait a few minutes before scrubbing.

Let me know if you try it! I love to interact with you all. If you have instagram, come join the party and learn more about all of my low waste swaps!
